lakaku belgium 9/4
gyan.   ghana.   7/2

fancy both strongly as both been in rude health at their clubs. I have bet accordingly.

Also my outsider bets are

dzamalli switzerland 33/1
ibarbo  colombia.     18/1.

sometimes  2 goals is the winner in is market if the team is out early doors.

Any further ideas..

Griezmann (France) 12/1, Lukaku 9/4 and Honda 11/2 are my three.

cahill - england

Postiga (Portugal) 11/1 looks a very nice bet to me, especially if Ronaldos fitness doesn't keep up.
Vargas (Chile) at 9/2 also seems very promising imo, I've taken some 100s ew for top scorer too.
Had little plays on Higuain, Fred and Honda as well.

Asamoah Gyan is a dodgy bet for top Ghana goalscorer.  He does not take penalties.
Report marychain1 June 8, 2014 10:36 PM BST
Two for Griezmann tonight

surely baines @ 36 is a great bet for top england scorer.

hodgson likes to pick a team full of divers (rooney, wellbeck, ox, sterling, wilshere, sturridge, gerard) and baines taking those free kicks (and maybe penalties if rooney misses the first one) will surely put him up there.
Report marychain1 June 9, 2014 11:18 PM BST
Surely Gerrard will take the pens?
Report Outpost June 10, 2014 9:44 AM BST
ok apologies for not knowing who takes england penalties, but the 36 available for baines is still good value given his skill at free kicks and the shortage of england goals in major tournaments.
Report toffee87 June 10, 2014 10:11 AM BST
Id rather have Lambert or Baines taking the pens

Rooney and Gerrard have both missed plenty over the years - it'll be interesting if Lambert gets the gig for Liverpool as his record is 2nd to none (34 out of 34 for Soton)  but I think I know the answer to that one

Ayew scored a hat trick against South Korea last night.
Report shinedog June 10, 2014 12:47 PM BST
Ozil at 10/1 looks decent. Top scorer in the qualifying. Bougherra for Algeria at 33/1 could be a live outsider. Can pop up with a goal now and again and their sure to be low on the goal front
Report Shrewd_dude June 10, 2014 12:58 PM BST
Jordan Ayew is a ridiculous 100/1 with Spreadex. Best price elsewhere 12's. Ghana only have 3 strikers in squad. Waris went off injured last night and is a doubt for USA game at the least and as You do the Maradona says Ayew came on and scored 3. Can't see Ghana scoring many so 1 goal could even be enough for a dead heat.

I'm pretty sure that will get voided as a palp
Report Shrewd_dude June 10, 2014 1:08 PM BST
On what basis they have their market revolving around Gyan at an incredibly short 13/8 and have a number of players at 100/1?
Report Ted Brogan June 10, 2014 1:10 PM BST
They've done the same with Waris; both are presumably supposed to be 10/1, so will be voided
Report Shrewd_dude June 10, 2014 1:17 PM BST
I don't think that's the case that it is a palp. They are far shorter on those at the top of the betting compared to other firms.

Gyan 13/8- BP 7/2
Boateng 5's - BP 10's
A. Ayew 10's - BP 20's
Atsu 10's - BP 22's

if they were meant to have J. Ayew and Waris at 10's as well that would be a horrific over round.
Report Shrewd_dude June 11, 2014 12:28 AM BST
You were right Ted they palped it. Since it was only a couple of hours after then that's possibly fair enough. Although I suspect it wasn't a palp and the traders just **** up. They put up the market today at 8am. They clipped in all the 100/1 shots and the specifically two you mentioned to 10's which makes their market 100% for the first 6 favourites being 10's or under which none of their other markets have.

For the outsiders who are likely to go out in the group stages stages they seem to be very short on the known players but big odds on the outsiders that are not well known. They were were similar to Ghana on Algeria and USA. Some big prices on USA players with them being half the odds on the favs Dempsey and Altidore as most other bookies but big prices on rank outsiders.

Thought no point backing if they're wrong prices. Then tonight tried to back Julian Green at 100's for USA, max bet 5 pence and 10 minutes later price was clipped in to 28's.Then tried to back Disckurud at 100's and max bet 5 pence.

Seem to be a total joke outfit who prices things up to attract people in by offering 5p bets to flag up all their ricks.
Report Shrewd_dude June 11, 2014 12:31 AM BST
And they're meant to be a firm which does spread betting. 5p only! Laugh
Report kincsem June 11, 2014 4:27 AM BST
Are you serious about the 5p?  Or is that a made-up figure for effect?
Report ExtremeX June 11, 2014 7:29 AM BST
Gyan no penalty kicks.
Report Ted Brogan June 11, 2014 9:28 AM BST
You may have only been offered 5p on those because they limited your account for the palps on the Ghana scorers. I don't have an account with them so not sure what their normal limits in that market are, sorry.
Report Shrewd_dude June 11, 2014 9:31 AM BST
It was literally 5p max bet.
