Think this is quite an interesting market that Ladbrokes have and definitely think there is some value to be had at the 100/1 plus range. With the group games being expected to be cagey affairs, especially in the early games, and the conditions someone with 3 goals may be enough to get a 2 or 3 way dead heat and even 2 goals possibly a deadheat return between several.

Lot of players priced up based on likelihood of being overall top scorer but this market could be won by a player for a team who gets knocked out in the group stages. In fact the fact that they are not certain to go through may even increase there chance of winning as in the conditions I think some of the big names for the teams already qualified will likely be rested for meaningless last games.

Factors I'm looking at are players for teams that are likely to have something to play for in all 3 games, unlikely to be rested for last game, have a group game against one easy team in which the team should score a few particularly if it's the final group game when things become more open and penalty takers.

The other thing is some appear to be bigger prices to be top scorer at group stage than overall due to it being a win only market.

Heres who I like:

Kerzakhov 150/1 : BP 100/1 for top scorer. Looks main striker and in decent form. Russia usually get off to a good start in these tournies then it all goes wrong. Look a decent team may not qualify and if they do will probably go out in second round however if they are to go through they will likely be heading for the second spot so he will likely play all 3 games which they will have something to play for. Last game is against Algeria and if Algeria or even Russia is already out by that stage it should be an open game in which Russia should dominate and hopefully score a few goals.

Vidal 250/1: Chile look to be a good attacking team and even if they get beat and go out they look like a team who should score a few goals in the process especially against Australia. Penalty taker as well and poses a big threat from the midfield.

Ozil 150/1: Possible penalty taker, scored a few in qualifying and a big threat from midfield and should get in amongst the goals especially if Germany play without a proper striker. Play USA in last game which could be a fairly open game if USA already out. Could be rested though if already qualified.

Pirlo 250/1: Just looks big at that price but doesn't have great track record of scoring in the big tournies so not so sure about this one.

One at slightly lower odds is

Ibisevic 80/1: Scored 8 goals in qualifying for Bosnia. Bosnia should have something to play for in all 3 games if they are to go through. Last game is against Iran who may be knocked out by that stage so should be an open game.

Any thoughts? As I say could be easily won by one of the players at the top of the market but with the odds mirroring the overall top scorer market to some extent think there could be a few that could get in a dead heat at big prices to win the group stage top scorer who have little chance overall due to their team not progressing far enough. May give a bit of an interest in group stages anyway.

I thought Suazo took pens for chile

It's definitely Vidal. If your referring to Humberto Suazo he's not even in the squad and don't think he's even been capped in last couple of years.

Added 2 more:

Vargas 100/1. Finding the net well in friendlies and Chile should score a few even if they don't qualify and I'm on him outright as well.

Immobile 200/1. In great form and if he doesn't start he should get plenty of game time as a substitute. 80/1 best price tournament top goal scorer so 200/1 for group seems very generous and 2 goals could be enough for a dead heat place even if Italy weren't to qualify.
