Most "experts" agree that this world cup has came too early for their youthful and inexperienced squad. 4 years from now they would be in their prime, no?

Because they are the most overrated team in modern history. As a team they are no better than the likes of your Croatia's and Russia's

Then why are they 12's for Euro 16? Why can they be backed at 14'2 for this World Cup?

Well firstly, I agree with the above assessment that they are an appalling price for this World Cup.  But that's just my opinion of course.  Reasons why they are 12/1 for Euro 2016:

1) It's in France, on their doorstep.
2) The Euros have been increased to 24 teams remember so it's fairly hard not to qualify.  Belgium's group contains Bosnia, Israel, Wales, Cyprus and Andorra.  Top two qualify, best third-place qualifies, and all the other third-placed teams get one final crack at a playoff.

Belgium are probably rated as high as Belgium could ever be rated right now, so with a World Cup four years away it's very hard to know how they'll be performing by then.  Plus qualification will be tougher, and there will be the likes of Brazil and Argentina to beat as well.

tend to agree

We are familiar with most of their side because they play in the premier league and for that reason we think they are better than they are

Euros much easier to win. And the Belgians have previously done well in the Euros.
but World Cup, no chance, absolutely zero.

Some of us were behind them pre hipster days. Now most people bigging them up are the sheep and bandwagoners.

But theirs not an outstanding international side in the world right now and taking out Brazil this tournament really could potentially have a shock.

If they win their group Belgium would face the team coming 2nd in the group containing Germany, Portugal, Ghana and USA

So looking at the most likely scenario.. on all known form then its most likely that Belgium would play either Portugal in the last 16, (assuming the Germans win the group).

If Belgium beat Portugal in the last 16 then they would most likely face Argentina in the quarter finals.

if they win that then they would most likely face Spain in the semis....can you see Belgium knocking out Portugal, Argentina and Spain consecutively, and then beat Brazil or German in the final ?

So it would clearly be a tough ask and a tall order for Belgium to reach the final.... they have a quality squad and a very decent team

Its unlikely yes.... but its not impossible.. who knows.. the key word is MOMENTUM

who would have thought that Uruguay would reach the semis in 2010, or Turkey in 2002 ?

That's where the luck of the draw comes into it.  Uruguay beat South Korea and Ghana to reach the semis.  Turkey beat Japan and Senegal.  It's all very well doing these predictor thingies and working out a team's path to the final but in reality it just takes one unexpected group winner or runner-up to turn an awful draw into a plum draw.

have to disagree that theres no outstanding international team at present.

Surely Spain are outstanding and have been so since 2008....They have won the last 3 major international tournaments consecutively

No international side has ever done this before.. its unprecedented.

Plus they have a team of superstars in every position and all their players play for top clubs.

I have them to make the semis at the very least...

@Bardo, completely agree if it was possible for the World cup holders and two time European champions to go unnoticed than they have done. I can see them doing a number on their group and then the money rolling in. And they have a perfectly acceptable striker who is on his way to Chelsea.
