1974 wc final, jack taylor from england is the ref. he lets holland kick off in the 1st half. it worked so well he let them kick off the 2nd half too. aaaaaaand they still lost it, somehow!

Dunno about surreal but Benjamin Massing's 'tackle' (wholly inappropriate word really) to mow down Cannigia in 1990 was a thing of extreme brutality yet compelling beauty!
