I'd want 500/1. Won't have the Real stars around him. France have a reasonable enough side but the only reason this very average striker gets goals in La Liga is because he is given so many chances; missing the vast majority of them.

I've backed him at 50/1 ew too. He should play as a lone striker and he's in the weakest group. For me Switzerland are a decent outfit and possibly the most underrated team in the competition, but Ecuador are overrated and Honduras look out of their depth, plus they play both their games against those two teams in favourable climates. The way the games are structured seems positive too, meaning they shouldn't be guaranteed qualification before the final game against Ecuador. A fast start against Honduras is essential, a brace against them would really set him up as a contender but if he fails to score in that game he might lose his place to Giroud and the bet will be as good as dead.

As Shearer and Lampard will point out taking pens doesn't half boost your goalscoring stats.
It does look like he should play all 3 group games because even if they beat Switzerland I still think a poor Ecuador side will scrape a win against Honduras meaning France won't be certain of qualification. Plus they wont want to meet Argentina in the last 16. I think its very doubtful that Neymar will play in the final group game against Cameroon |

Benzema will have to score a few against Switzerland, Ecuador and one of Bosnia, Nigeria or Iran to win it, but since he looks by far the most likely Frenchman to score it could easily happen. After that they meet Germany.

I bet Dos Santos to be top Mexican goalscorer. 2 perfectly valid disallowed goals against Cameroon. I bet Perisic to be top Croatian scorer. Highly dubious disallowed goal against Brazil I bet Drmic top Swiss scorer. Highly dubious disallowed goal against Brazil I bet Benzema to be top overall scorer.
