I think that whoever tops their group will go on to the final; they have the far easier half of the draw once they get out of the group.

I'm afraid Germany are a lay for me CR7
Group G are based in the north-east, and with 13:00 kick-offs in Salvador and Recife either side of a 16:00 start in Fortaleza, players will have to be prepared for extreme heat. My personal plan has been to take the 5/4 on Chile to qualify out of Group B as I believe they are more likely to qualify than Holland and to re-invest this (or get my money back depending on the outcome of Chile) in laying Germany after they qualify from Group G which I believe they should do (due to there being no S.A sides in their group to take advantage of the challenging conditions and their outright price obviously shortening thanks to their progression) but will ultimately pay the physical price later on in the tournament against higher quality opposition (not to mention their lack of pace at the back). GL though & looking forward to it regardless of the outcome  |

Can't see the logic of that myself If you are going to lay them surely just do it from the start. They are 1.15 to qualify so they will hardly shorten at all before L16 If they finish 2nd to Portugal they will be a bigger price in the knockout round (unless there has been a huge shock elsewhere with Brazil/Argentina out ) |

Germany are a proper team and unless they are very unlucky will easily make the semis.
Should Brazil get to the semis Germany will dump them out there. backing Germany in the remaining group games is free money. |

Germany had a bit of a fright yesterday. Ghana played not only with a lot of energy to frustrate the Germans but also had a lot of flair.
The question is can any of the other favourites match or better the Ghanaians effort. |

Just concerned they are looking too good and yet to have a bad game - but they do look strong and you wouldn't want to change your bets for any of the other two - I am sure they can mark messi out of the game which will kill Argentina, bit more work involved to mark out van persie(not playing well last couple of games) and robben but they should cope.

cant see any other outcome other than a german victory
I expect germany to expose Argentina in the same way they did brazil I can see another drubbing here.. Germany could well win 4-0 if u can nullufy messi then argentina bring nothing to the party |

i would say messi missing a sitter like that is very lucky. higuain's miss was even worse also too eager in his offside "goal" if he'd held his run a split second longer he scores. argentina were cutting through the germans like a knife through butter. messi was in some amazing positions throughout the game. an in form messi scores 3 or 4 in the final.
