Well they've done 'ok' that's for sure...

how did bayern manage to get to the CL final using a foreign ball? they must be some kind of pro footballers or summat.... fishy
Not that much of an advantage that they are beating teams 4-0, 4-1, 4-0.
Its their ability to get around the park and to choose the right pass that has been most important. I think Ballack being injured has been a real blessing for them.

Umm, just to put this argument to bed, France used the Jabulani last year!
But the conspiracy theorists will say that all of the main french players play abroad.
Its hard to take but the fact is that the germans are one of about 3 teams in the tournament who have played as well as they can do - they are probably playing even better than they thought they could.

It goes without saying that it must be an advantage..just a question of whether its a minor advantage or a major one
As said, probably not such an advantage that they win games today by 4-0, but maybe some advantage for sure.
England had the same chance but the FA couldn´t use the new ball because of their deal with a rival company.

well that sounds like a good point, but it stands little scrutiny. in the Champions League they are using a ball that the Bundesliga players have used before extensively, so its no surprise that they can readapt to it.
the most significant thing with the new ball is how bouncy it is and how little impact you need to propel it. if you watch the Germans play at pace their control is very precise and often seem to play passes that seem underhit at first but which reach their destination. their crossing has been of a particularly high standard too. when I see other sides that are meant to have ability struggle to build moves at any speed while the Germans are at ease with quick passes it seems to my eyes a result of practise with the ball rather than anything else. I certainly wouldn't back anyone against them at the moment
