clearly this rule should be introduced to address such inequities as occurred in last night's game uruguay v ghana

should have awarded a penalty goal and sent the bloke off

In this particular case, punishment didn't fit offence as sending off made no difference to Ghana.  I agree, a blatant handball on the goalline should result in goal awarded and player having his hands cut off.

My first thoughts last night exactly.Great minds think alike, cant wait for them to get beat.

where do you draw the line?   goalie hauls down attacker... do you give a penalty goal for that? say suarez was 1m in front of the goalline when he handles, do you give a free goal for that?  keep the awarding of non existant scoring to he egg chasing please.

shaky but by not drawing the line at all you allow for far greater injustices such as last night's match

refs make enough mistakes as it is without giving the the chance to go around awarding non existant goals whenever they feel like it

that isn't what is being suggested shaky

Couldn't agree more, denying goalscoring opportunity = red card but if denying a goal like last night then just give the goal.

Can't blame Suarez for what he did, gave his team a chance to progress.  Rules need to be changed.
