easy passage compared to Argentina is the reason.

Is Holland easy? I ask because I lumped on Brazil at 5.9 before the off and I can't decide whether I should lay off or not. I really fee I should but if they beat the Dutch they should be in the final unless they really chuck it away.

If anyone saw the last Copa America Uruguay were more than a match for Brazil in semi-final and following a 2-2 (a.e.t.) they had penalty in shoot-out to defeat them - the player hitting the post.
A Brazil vs Uruguay semi would be unfinished business for Uruguay and I'd give them a solid chance. Sure, they were beat by them twice in S.American qualifying but this 2007 game shows they can compete at Brazil's level. This is the sort of information that would be overlooked and not even known by the feeble, lazy pundits on BBC or ITV. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCyX_ayaO4g&feature=related |

any decent side will beat uruguay,
brazil will r.a.p.e them hth |

I'm not sure that's in the laws of the game Platini

Silly price for Brazil - Chile are the opponents they love to beat, they play open and let Brazil have chances.
Look at the difference when teams like N Korea (lol) and Portugal played them - they struggled. And they will again. |

you are right db - Uruguay are even better now.

brazil had no reason to knock out portugal
they knew a draw would see them come top which theyve done holland and the finalist only sides can stop brazil brazil ALWAYS find a way past holland so argies or spain in final |

I was shocked to see almost 7/2 Holland. Brazil seem to be a little unsteady at the back and Holland will score a couple of goals. North Korea showed how to stop the forwards, and Holland have better players with which to do it.
I expected 15/8 each. :0 |

You have been watching a different game to me - Brazil are magnificent at the back .... |
|

I am not convinced. North Korea scored and nearly equalized - no matter how much of a fluke it might have been. This same Korean team failed to score against Portugal or Ivory Coast. Drogba also scored against Brazil with the sort of chance that Van Persie will thrive on, and Chile created lots of opportunities last night.
I think Dunga recognises the defence as his team's weakness, which is why he looks perpetually worried. |

No. I think the odds on Brazil Vs Holland is about right. I strongly fancy Brazil to beat Holland, they have really impressed me throughout the tournament, a very disciplined set-up and better at the back than ever before in recent times.

I came into this tournament totall writing Brazil off and have been so impressed with them. They look the best side to me, and should beat either Argentina or Spain in the final.
They look awesome at the back, as good as ever going forward. They combine technical ability and the physical game better than anyone, Ghana are closest, but miles behind on tournament know-how and self belief. I have totally changed my book from the start it was Argetina/Spain I am now all Brazil with Spain big red and Argentina small red. I am convinced I will be able to lay Brazil at odds on before the final to assure a lovely book, but Im not sure I will need to as I think they win. |

i agree with marychain!
Very impressed with them at the back, especially the defensive midfield pairing. Also the obligatory brasilian full-backs cu m wingers. |

By far the most impressive team, plus they have an easier route to the final that Argentina and Spain.

argentina will win it.never heard so much waffle, argentina played 4 won the lot ,spain got beat by the swiss.brazil;drew with portugal just beat n.koria.dont look like world cup winners to me

who have holland faced exactly? slovakia, cameroon, japan, demark
brazil have faced chile, ivory coast, portugal all who are stronger than the above 4 imo holland yet to have a side actually not stick 10behind the ball |
|
By:
Exactly - which is why when Brazil play and open game against them we will really see some attacking prowess from them - I think they will score 2 against Brasil.

Why on earth Shrewd, are you expecting Brazil to play an open game against any team. They are counter punchers which is why the Chile game suited them so well. Both sides have 2 defensive midfielders, why expect an open exciting game when these two meet? |
|
By:
Holland : won 4 out 4 so far. didn't drop a point in their qualifying campaign. in euro 2008 won 3 out 3 group matches and drew with Russia over 90 minutes. I think Brazil will win this, but you'd be crazy to go balls deep at skinny odds.
|
|
By:
You may have a point bexley - but I think they will still be more open than the defensive sides they've faced so far.

Best chance of a great game is Brazil to score first otherwise I fear Holland will play very defensively.
With the skill on offer between the teams and being knockout football I'm not expecting the complete bore that Brazil v Portugal was, but its fair to say my expectations aren't great for this particular game. Historically it may be 'Samba Kings' v 'Total Football' but at the moment these are two teams based on being solid and hard to beat. I have seen all these teams games so far - Brazil look comfortably the better to me but for the sake of the match I hope Holland have more to offer than shown so far ![]() |
|
By:
I agree with the comments about Brazil looking the best team and good in defense - they will surely see off Holland, and sale through to the final. Good luck Brazil backers!!
|

By:
I think brazil can beat holland without getting out of 3rd gear.Brazil look a powerfull machine, pace, steel and flair.
IF brazil score early this could be embarrasing for the dutch |
|
By:
Brazil even money for this match, value???
|
|
By:
yeah value, just wish Melo was fit,Elano was a blow but happy for Alves to take his place. Sneijder wont have no room and will be kept quiet, everything goes through him.The dutch may keep Kaka quiet but there's Robinhio or Maicon and Bastos bombing down the flank to worry about
