One of the fundamental qualities any manager must possess is the ability to communicate effectively with his players. Capello's English is so poor that I find it difficult to believe that any of them understand more than about 10% of what he says. Of course this is not helped by the inability of most of the team to speak the language properly.
I must have heard a dozen interviews with Capello over the past few weeks. I've hardly understood a word of any of them. It's been quite clear that none of the interviewers could understand either. Of course, his poor English also provides him with the perfect excuse to drone on without actually saying anything, so it probably suits his purpose.
Surely the FA can either afford to pay for him to have some English lessons. Or find a manager who speaks the same brand of broken English that most of the players speak.
