If you're that certain you should lay the 3/1 on here tho I notice not much left to lay now. (plenty available earlier). After yesterdays performances I would imagine Larrionda and rossetti are now out of contention. I don't see many candidates left and fully expect it to be Busacca but if he messes up Webb is the next most likely imo. Webb got nothing but praise for his performance in the champions league final so I'm not sure that rules him out of doing the world cup final (tho a semi if things go well tonight is more likely)

^ Even our ref in the last World Cup finals performed better than England just did. An we all know that story.

The penalty kick and red card given on the first game against South Africa might well cost Busacca the final imo...He will probably be given a quarter of final of most likely a semi final and I am afraid this will be it for him...Webb was excellent and he deserves it

Webb, and more impressively, his 2 linesman were excellent tonight - they deserve the final based on performances to-date anyway.

Well impressed with Howard Webb tonight.

Seems to be able to blend authority with the ability to be anonymous. No showmanship, no trying to make a name for himself, just a very fine ref.

Deserves the final without question.

what's happened to him ? he was more blue square premier standard back in england. had a diabolical season.

tbf the speed of the epl is very hard to control, he probably finds this a breeze.

I expekt that final referee will be Busacca or De Bleeckere.

IMO Busacca did everything well till now and he will have 1/4 finals. If he do that good he should be in final. De Bleeckere have today Paragvay-Japan. If he do good job he will have IMO at least semi finals, and maybe even finals, if Busacca have some major mistakes in few days...

I can't see Webb in final... He had one final till now, and really I don't like his way of refereeing, but I am preatty sure that final referee will be form Europe...
