A lot of fuss is being made over the new ball.  Although they've been using it in Major League Soccer for the past two seasons and the total number of goals scored doesn't show any significant deviation from previous seasons.

However, this new ball should favour teams who like to knock it around on the deck such as Spain and Brazil as well as teams like South Korea, Japan, Portugal, Netherlands, Mexico to name a few.  Germany didn't seem to have too many problems with it did they?

But does this mean Spain and Brazil are even bigger favourites than first thought to reach the final?
