Been watching your progress from the start tobermory, and have found it all fascinating.

Am just wondering what the logic is at this point to have Uruguay as your second-biggest winner? They seem very unlikely to rise to the top against Holland, let alone against Holland and Spain or Germany. Good luck, anyway, hope it comes good for you.
Report tobermory July 4, 2010 11:59 PM BST
Cheers Tom .  I just think they are too big a price @15 or so with only 2 ties to win, and Holland are too short right now .

I should be around for the game and if  Uraguay make it tougher than the market sees it , which i think they can , then i may be able to Lay Uraguay ( who i will be £212 or so green on by then) at much shorter odds, and have 2nd biggest green on Holland after all.

It all rests on the 2nd game really though ( which i can't be here for Cry ) as if Germany win i'll just be hoping for the winner of the first semi to get me out of it with a modest win, while if Spain do it then i will be able to make my bank (originally £279.40) into £500 even from Holland or Uraguay , with a much bigger profit on the Spanish.

Anyone having any problems with their WC outright market? Before the game tonight my market showed what I posted above, -£110 on Germany, £303.02 on Spain and £223.72 on Holland.

As Germany have gone out tonight, that means I should have my £110 returned to my account, doesn't it? Or added to the profit on each team (like happened when my other antepost selections; Portugal and Uruguay went out).

I've had no money added to my available to bet balance, and the profit on both teams is still the same.

Any ideas?
Report tobermory July 8, 2010 12:10 AM BST
It depends what you backed and layed Germany for

I think i had about £58 of back bets on them and layed them for about £135 so my account went up by £77 or so when it was settled.

That amount was then taken off the greens i had on Spain and Holland.
Report tobermory July 8, 2010 12:11 AM BST
I don't understand how neither your  Account Statement or your figures on the other 2 stayed the altered.
Report AJSmith July 8, 2010 12:13 AM BST
I had no back or lay bets on Germany at all.

My antepost bets were: £80 Spain, £30 Holland, £10 Portugal, £4 Uruguay. I haven't changed anything since, no laying at all.

When Portugal and Uruguay went out, the profit on Spain and Holland was altered. Now Germany have gone, absolutely nothing has changed. My available to bet balance is exactly the same as it was before the Spain/Germany match, as is my profit on both Spain and Holland.

I have no idea how or why this has happened either.
