Spain a class above the rest IMO .Trying to get more on them @5.2

Italy also decent value and want to back them @18.

I forseee many upsets and 0-0s involvng the overated teams at the top of the market and so backed a lot of outsiders. Would like £2 South Africa @180

Value in laying some of the outsiders too, but only got bank of £279 so can't.

granted yes,but this is a world cup! and here's one, spain are 4/1 to win the euros in 2012, so why on earth should they be 4/1 to win this world cup!

Other teams may have improved by then, though it is a good price.

The World Cup is not that much harder to win . You can get lucky with the draw , as Germany did in 2002 , which is less likely in the Euros.

Can you explain to me then why the Soviet union,Spain,Czechoslovakia,Holland,Denmark and Greece have never won the World Cup when they have won European Football Championship? When are people going to realize the World cup is a DKF.

Just have a better chance than those odds.

There haven't been very many World Cups or Euro Champs, so inevitably there are plenty of countires with usually strong teams that haven't won .

Most Spain teams at the World Cup have been fairly ordinary though, probabaly ususally 25/1 or more at the start. This team is far superior to those. Arsenal played in Division 1 for about 25 seasons before they even went close to winning it, simply because they had mediocre teams until Herbert Chapman was there .

Inferior  Spanish teams from the 70s 80s have no bearing on this tournament .You can say they choked in 2006 with a similar team , but i just thought France were magnificent in that game.

each to own i suppose! but i really dont see the point in backing practically every team like that for small money whether you think they are value, overpriced or otherwise, fact remains they WILL NOT win the competition so would you not be better off investing it elsewhere.... i'e form an opinion and back it up with sum cold hard earned. i can understand if your looking for some value who you think may trade shorter at some point so the possibility of trading is there, but 2 and 3 pound bets,if you really genuinely believe spain will win it why not just increase your original stake on spain

Just have a better chance than those odds.

There haven't been very many World Cups or Euro Champs, so inevitably there are plenty of countires with usually strong teams that haven't
won[/b] .

That doesn't explain why Brazil have win it 5 times and Italy 4 times.

Most Spain teams at the World Cup have been fairly ordinary though, probabaly ususally 25/1 or more at the start.

Don't think that is true. 2006 World Cup they were 12/1 and probably a similar price for other World Cups.Club teams have always done well in Europe so many think it translates to the World Cup. It doesn't.

This team is far superior to those. Arsenal played in Division 1 for about 25 seasons before they even went close to winning it, simply because they had mediocre teams until Herbert Chapman was there .

I'm not saying Spain can't win it. Just that they aren't a good price.

Inferior  Spanish teams from the 70s 80s have no bearing on this tournament .

I wish I had a £ for every time I've heard this silly argument.yes they have a better chance than the average Spanish team, but they are false favorites.

You can say they choked in 2006 with a similar team , but i just thought France were magnificent in that game.

And there's the rub. Spain always choke in important matches like losing 2-0 to the USA.This is the difference between winners and losers. This is why Germany always do so well.Even with average teams.

Looks a bad book to me. Only Spain and maybe Italy realistically running for you. More likely to lose than win as it stands.
By:

i can only assume you fancy spain to win it and your looking to trade italy, other than that it looks like ur fooked!! dont know why you even bother with the outsiders!! waste of time and money

Different perspective here:

+420 all teams bar the following:

Spain -375
Brazil -208
Argentina -368
England -158
Serbia (as good as out) +2070
Uruguay +2820

Was therefore pleased to see Germany impress & hopefully Holland & Italy will do the same today.
