If I were the manager this would be
Joe Cole - As many as possible until we are 2 goals in front
James Milner - Few or none
sky have it at 4/6 and 11/10
managed to talk myself out of cole at 2/7 to be in the squad because it seemed too big and this seems similar
Only reasons I can think of Milner getting more are:
- Put more steel in midfield because everyone (inc full backs) bar Barry has an attacking bent and Johnson will need cover that Lennon won't really provide
- He is tearing up trees in training
- Cole has upset fabio with contract negotiations/speculation
The last one is putting me off lumping on for now - what do you think?

I agree. Cole looks like a starter to me, whereas Milner will need an injury or suspension to get a starting position. An injury to Cole looks the biggest danger at this stage, or a dreadful opening result against the USA and a rethink from Capello.
Clearly Fabio did not (but then he put Green in goal)
How on earth SWP is ahead of Cole in pecking order is beyond me
What do we think for the coming games? Can he risk Milner again? Did SWP do enough to be ahead of Cole in pecking order?
