with rooney's fitness always in doubt plus he is probably englands most likely player to miss a game through suspension i think defoe will start at least one game , if we win the first 2 group games rooney may even be rested?

Down to 6/4 now - deposited money last night to back all England players not to score - there were some crazy prices in there - they have just shortened all of them except Heskey (5/6)

Into 5/4 now.I still think it's worth having a quick look at the odds available on the other players in the squad not to score.Although nothing is left which seems dramatically wrong in price,for those who like a short price, Glen Johnson @ 1/2 seems overpriced to me.Good Luck to whoever got the 5/2 for Defoe....although if he scores the winner in the final I'll still be cheering [;)]

i think Heskey at 5/6 also looks like a cracking bet.

Agree I had a tickle on Heskey - wouldnt be surprised if he gets less than 90 minutes - will feel a bit of a tw@t watching england now though having laid them for their group and backing Rooney and Heskey not to score - probably best not to celebrate if in the pub [:x]
