RVP is available as top Arsenal GS in the WC at evens.

Do people think this is good value considering Fabregas and Bendtner are the only other contenders?

Fabregas won't start many games and Holland should play at least 2 more matches than Denmark.

Thoughts everyone?

Vela @ 15/2 is good value imo- should have had 2 last week for Mexico. Good chance of getting through group.

Thanks Kris - I think that is one of the best value bets currently available - I think 1 goal will be enough for him to take this market down and I fully expect him to score at some stage

Bendtner (7/2) and Vela (15/2) for me.

Van Persie by no means a definite starter, having pulled out of training yesterday with his ankle wrapped in ice.

First I had heard of this . . .

After only a month and a half since making his comeback from injury, Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has suffered a new ankle injury which leaves the Dutch National side sweating over his fitness level.

The Dutchman, 26, had to abandon yesterday’s training session with his ankle packed in ice and will now be assessed by the Dutch medical stuff ahead of next month’s World Cup Finals which kicks off on June 11. The Netherland’s first game in Group E is on June 14, against Denmark.

Van Persie was in terrific form for the Orange earlier this week, grabbing a brace against Mexico on Wednesday including a beautifully-timed volley.

The 26-year old suffered a serious ankle ligament injury last November in a friendly International against Italy and spent almost five months on the sidelines with many believing his absence was one of the main reasons why the Gunners ended their season trophyless.

It's a solid bet but Bendtner has a good record at international level and is coming off the back of a good season at Arsenal. He will be the main target man for Denmark and none of the teams in their group are that great defensively

good point re Bendtner, I think at evs RVP is a lay rather than a back.. is it money back if no Arsenal goalscorer at all?

Big news that RVP is now an injury doubt.  Glad I waited a little.

Definitely think it is good value.  I reckon 2 goals might even be enough to win this one...

Vela's lack of experience will surely count against him?

Will watch closely.

Seems he is over it though?

I didnt wait unfortunately - I am anxiously awaiting the line up for tonight's game V Ghana

All bets voided if none listed score

He trained fully yesterday so he will be fine even if he doesn't feature tomorrow.  Looks a good bet imo
