The forst thing to note is that the top half of the draw is far easier than the bottom half.
Brazil are the major beneficiaries of this and only a quarter final loss to Holland will stop them reaching the final.
I expect England to reach the Semis. If they meet Brazil theyll lose as they have an inferiority complex about this country. If they should meet Holland anything is possible. However you look at it though Englands price is garbage and should be almost double by my calcualtions.
France are the worst group bet at Evens and very opposable, whoever wins group A I expect England to beat them in the QF.
In the other half of the draw Spain are favourites with all bookmakers but incredibly poor value. i also expect Spain to choke in this tournament now they are expected to win. In 1990 everyone thought Holand now having proven themselves as Euro88 champs would go on to World Cup glory. They didnt and did there usual self destruct job and have been ever since. Spain will be no different, they might even go out at the last 16 stage to Portugal. Portugal are the only team to me that look a little overpriced but i would definately lay back at the business end because this is another choking country like Holland and Spain.
Italy are old but always manage to go well if getting out the group. They nullify teams who should be better than them. In Euro 2008 they almost knocked out Spain after looking hopeless in all their other games.
Its not going to happen for Germany in this tournament even though i expect them to win their group. Their keepers suicide and Ballacks injury has severely weakened them.
Argentina are the team that interest me. They beat germany 1-0 a few months ago in Germany in a friendly and also looked good beating Russia in a friendly a while back. They have loads of World class players up front and will be able to use the group stage to gel in midfield and defense. The point with Argentina is, they can still improve, a lot. Whereas Spain have probably reached a plateau.
Im going for a Brazil v Argentina Final.
