If the squad was 24 players instead of 23 a definite yes imo.
The ones that shouldnt make it are Parker Huddlestone SWP Dawson Warnock and Bent.
That leaves one more to chop. Not sure who it should be tbh.

Personally I wouldnt take Ledley King because I think taking him and Ferdinand means he might need to take five centre halves and I'd take both Johnson and Cole. If England need to make changes to chase a game the introduction of Cole and Walcott against tired defences is an option I'd want. I'd also want the option of Johnson since he can genuinely play wide left. If he takes five centre halves I think one of Cole or Johnson gets chopped unless Barry is unfit and he thinks Parker just isnt up to it.

J.Cole should not only be in the squad but be a starter in the first XI. Weak link in England side is Glen Johnson at right back - he is a liability defensively. If Capello is going to refuse Gerrard playing an attacking central midfield role, I'd rather see J.Cole left mid, and Gerrard playing right back.

If fit he definitely has to go. He is one of the few England players that can retain possession which will be crucial should we face Brazil, spain, Holland, Portugal etc who keep the ball well. In the past we have given the ball away far too cheaply against these sort of sides which means we spend long periods chasing the oppostion.
Capello like those before him won't play with two wide players so Cole has a great chance of starting. Adam Johnson shouldn't go, because in Walcott, Milner and either WP or Lennon there is enough on offer for wide players without Johnson.
The big problem for me is the centre of midfield. Going forward we look fine, but we have no proper anchor man and if Barry isn't properly fit we have serious issues here. Carrick is miles out of his depth against international midfielders.

should be first name on team sheet imo, englands most talented player since gazza. only has himself to blame though if he dont make it, wasted most of his carear at chelsea.

finally someone gets it.. ve been waiting for someone to come out with this for weeks..
its the only place gerrard should be playing... he wont waste a midfield spot and still has the pace to play there. and he can bomb forward with his crowd botherers when were onthe front foot leaving the left side for j cole or j milner to fill
