Im personally backing Brazil,

Spain have the better squad on paper but the confederations cup prooved to me that Brazil have an amazing spirit and one bigger than spains.

Usa 1 - 0 Spain (HT) Usa 2 - 0 Spain (FT)

Same tournament

Usa 2 - 0 Brazil (HT) Usa 2 - 3 Brazil (FT)

ive had a punt on Brazil to win the world cup with Stan James, they are doing an offer - so if Spain win the world cup they will refund your stake up to 250 pounds.

If you agree with me or not, use stan james to back a team other than spain. Love

personally don't think you should read too much into the confederations cup. think spain have the best squad by far although the injuries to xavi, iniesta, fabregas and torres are a worry. in theory (and according to my wall chart predictions) it should be a brazil v spain final, although real life rarely works out like this.

Spain IMO are a stick on. I have had a look through the other squads and they have nothing to fear. Maradonna yet agin has left out some great squad players and with im at the helm they won't win. The Brazil squad is not the same as pervious years ageing players and not the same quality as the spanish. It's there to lose IMO.The only possiable squad that maybe able to compete are the Dutch but you know how the story goes with them.Devil

ignore the germans & italians at your peril...

heard it so many times before, they arent wot they were, their strikers are useless, their defence is too shaky or too old...etc etc etc

both are proven tournament teams, & both will be thereabouts at the latter stages...

ive a slight favour for the germans this time around...

I agree with you mate, ive got small money backing germany 15/1 ,portugal 32/1 and italy 15/1, a bit of a cover bet.

If england won it i honestly would not care about losing money.

yep, i wouldnt care about losing money either if england were to win it...

i think the majority of us would feel that way...unless of course youve got thousands on it & ur not a trader

Back England at 13/2 anywhere and back half a dozen other teams at Skybet. If England win, all losing bets are refunded. If they don't, you still have a chance of one of your other six teams showing a profit.

Dont think spain will win it but don't really fancy laying them either until at least after the group stages.

They should start well and breeze through their group. Hopefully they'll score a nice few goals and their price will shorten, without having answered any real questions.

Just on that Slybet offer - one of the terms & conditions states

"one offer per customer"

I just queried that with Sly and they said that this means that only your FIRST bet struck in this market is refundable.

So you CANNOT back several teams and avail of this offer on each bet.

Should also note that the refund is NOT a monetary one as such but is in the form of a free bet which must be used before 31-Aug-10 and the free bet stake is not refundable even if the free bet wins (which is standard terms for a free bet)

True but i used my 25 free bet last night with stan james.. and it won, i got all the profit it made and they gave me another free bet of 25.
