By:
They are by far the best team in the world. Should be 5/2
By:
im not on spain...and im glad not to be so...u watch them blow out...quarter finals at best imo
By:
Why quarter finals at best?
By:
wont be any reasoning behind it,just something he said.
Ive been backing them for 2 years! |
By:
not as smug as you, but got a fair bit on at 5/1 & 9/2, just trickled it on over a few months.
By:
Can't see who will beat them.
Would you rather back Spain at 9/2 or England at 6/1? |
By:
brazil @ 6.2/6.4
By:
On Spain and Villa top scorer. Very hopeful at least one will cop.
By:
mehmet...work out the fixtures of how u think the groups will finish...if u then think spain can beat all that look set to come before them, then good luck...
i also think, with the expectancy of their nation to succeed this time around, there will be added pressure on them... i can see just see them bottling it tbh |

Backed them at 9's immediately after Euro 08. Feeling confident though have saver on Brazil. Two horse race in my opinion.
By:
Backed them before Euro 08 started, was there in 08, had more bets on it and still pleased, not backed them in the w/c tho

They are different class

It's the World Cup. It isn't always won by the best side. Argentina were the best side in 2006 and got dumped out in the qf against Germany. Spain can be got at - just look at what the USA did last year in the Confed Cup. I've also got a funny feeling Brazil will come 2nd in their group so we'll have Spain vs Brazil in the last 16.

"Can't see who will beat them. Would you rather back Spain at 9/2 or England at 6/1?"
Pretty silly argument tbf, in a knockout match half a dozen teams or more could beat them. There is no way they are value now. And any bet would be better than backing England at their current show, who without a shadow of doubt are the worst 6/1 shot in betting history! (should be 16s easily) |
By:
correct there...
By:
How is 4/1 not value?
No one can beat them imo. Brazil have very tough group and are a shadow of former Brazil sides. England have one world class player. Argentina, Germany, Italy etc... aren't good enough |
By:
^^ U.S.A beat Spain in confed cup. Brazil win will imo.
By:
Well it quite clearly isn't value for the reasons I explained!
By:
spain should be 12/1 and even then wouldnt be interested in backing them !!
By:
Why should they be 12/1?
They are the current European champions, have an easy group and the best squad by a mile |
By:
one geeza said they should be 5/2 has he been smoking crack?
By:
ive happily laid spain @ 5/1
By:
I think you should have posted this in a 2 months time when they have won it not now :)
By:
this will be posted again when spain dont win it

Until you understand why they lost to a team like the USA you are on a hiding to nothing. As was winning the Euro Championsip it's means nothing. Totally different competition from the World Cup. Spain won it in 64 and didn't win the World Cup in 66. Only 1 out of the last 12 Eurpean championship winners have gone onto win the World Cup. |

got them to meet holland in the final.

Bit worrying that Iniesta, Xavi, Fabregas and Torres all
struggling with injuries isn't it? If they all get there in one piece then looks a cracking bet.. |
By:
Only a complete mug would think that backing the 4/1 favourites to win a cup competition could remotely be described as "value"

A few reasons to concern Spanish punters:
1/. European Team never WC out of the continent. 2/. Torres, Villa, Xavi all carrying knocks. 3/. Never won it. Others have. Price is fair and 6/1 is ok for you Clarkey - But no way should they be 5/2...Only needs someone to take them to penalties and you are done for. |

much rather be backing Brazil at 6.2+ than Spain.
By:
lol the U.S.A beat them in the confed cup, plus South Africa took them to extra time, well over rated lol

def agree wigan

I agree that it's between Brazil and Spain and will probably back them both. If Sid James is to be believed, then if I back Brazil with them and Spain win, Ill get my stake back as a freebet? Anyone else done this yet?
Looks pretty clear cut, and Ive had things like this before with no problems, but this is one hell of a biggie - Im wondering if Im missing something but it doesnt look like it!! |
