yeah Beckham not been great in previous wc but then again not many england players can claim they have been - Beckham would provide vital quality from set pieces and from his crossing ability - swp and walcott would provide us with nothing.

you seem to believe that its a straight choice between beckham or swp/walcott. Thats nonsense. Beckham would def not have been a starter in the WC, he would have been used as a sub, being brought on for the last 20 mins. Capello will not lose a seconds sleep over Becks injury, in fact it will make theings a lot clearer for him. Oh and youre wrong when you say that 'any manager in the world would have taken Beckham'. He wouldnt get in the squads of any of the top 6, poss 10 nations imo. Way way past his best, gravey. |

Beckham has been walking about the pitch for the last five or six years. He was never going to be a full 90 minute squad member, and even 20 minutes is too much for him now imo.
Gerrard and Terry also out would be good. Young guys are needed. |

The only decent chance we had in recent world cup's he ruined when he got sent off, ever since then its been the beckham show. Now he's crying like a baby because he cant go, he's a bloody pansy no wonder Fergie couldnt stand him.
