I realised today that commentators and studio pundits operate a double-standard : where a foreign player is deemed to be **ing, Rooney or Gerrard are seen to be consummate professionals. Miore worryingly, the named players appear to be more than happy to try and exploit this sentiment with English refs.,and at £100,000 a week I expect someone has analysed that they are employing a profitable strategy. So imho the Premier League has spoilt our best creative talents by making it too easy for them.

As I've said for months, 16/1 is the correct price, anyone who takes less than that should give up betting.
Report wigan 4 the prem January 25, 2010 7:46 PM GMT

lol england or the uk does not control the world wide soccer markets... nowhere near.

and englands price is about right imo... the argiies are rubbish, holland etc have an even worse world cup record than ours and whatever anyone thinks england look a better unit under capello..

im not saying we will win it but everything is there in place for a decent tilt..
