Remind me, Owen, he's that bloke who played for Liverpool years ago and now sits on the bench holding his knee or arm or back or whatever other ailment he's got this week, and he has been doing this for the last ten years while taking around £5 million a year off whichever clubs sick bench he has been gracing at the time.
Good idea take him to South Africa he'll probably enjoy the view from the bench over there and the heat will probably help is many ailments to feel slightly better and I am sure his agent will be ablle to secure a lucrative finacial deal for him being there.

I'm with Alex. Cole & Rooney will cause all kinds of problems for anyone. Defoe will be better employed as a substitute after Cole has battered the opposition into submission.
I wouldn't take Heskey, but if Cole got injured he is the natural replacement. Crouch and Agbonlahor are average and although Walcott blows hot & cold he is nailed on for a place in the squad.
So, if Owen gets the nod, which is very doubtful, it will be at the expense of Crouch, Heskey or Agbo.
