One silver medal so far. Why have they fallen so far?? They used to be one of the dominant forces in the nordic events but trail along with the also rans now.
Did the IOC want too many 'sexy' new events to encourage the western europeans/yanks/canadians and Finland got left behind?
The same applies to Sweden to a lesser extent. yet Norway with a small population hauls the medals in by the bagful.

I agree that Finland has had a bad Winter Olympics, Sweden has done well however. 7 medals so far (3-2-2) which is good compared to previous Winter Olympics. Norway usually does great.
