That said, the USA have played very well in this tourney winning every game (including the 5-3 defeat of the Canadians) and having the best goalie of the Tourney in Ryan Miller (Save% 93.57 and GAA of 1.04. This compared to Luongo and Brodeur (91.95% & 91.95% and 1.75GAA & 2.9GAA rerspectively). Equally, the Canadians have had the best offense of the two but have had some very below par performances against the Swiss, almost letting Slovakia equalise in the dying seconds of the semi and most notably the 5-3 loss to the USA. Canada saving their best for last, it has to be based on some of these performances. The USA are underdogs and have nothing to prove but the weight of expectancy on the Canadians is huge, with nothing less than gold expected. Home ice advantage for Canadians in my opinion is offset by the fact the USA would love to win the bragging rights in North American ice hockey.
USA in regulation time @ 3.7 is my bet but my heart will be with the Canadians all the way.
this is like that infinitity theory thing on horizon the other night....somewhere in the universe there is a monkey typing the complete works of shakespeare.....now to be replaced by....somewhere in the universe there is steve cram , matthew pinsent and some bird discussing an olympic ice hockey final!!

HAYDEN 28 Feb 21:31 I've traded my 3.3 average outright winner and greened on the regulation market today average 1.22 so wonderful green and outside chance of being paid out twice , would still like Canada to win though from a sporting point of view.
One of my better trading decisions of late , just created a lot more green as a result and a very small bias on Canada for fun.
good luck to all

Well done Canada , great tournament and the right result , don't forget guys the NHL continues on Tuesday 2am UK time with Wings in Colorado and hope to see a few new faces on the NHL thread , good banter , no abuse and some calculated game views.
Congrats Canada and well done to all.
