Not only did Amy have to endure a protest against the legality of her helmet after the 1st 2 runs in the Womens Skeleton but there was a protest afterwards by the Canadians (i think) when she has completed her winning run, the reasoning being that her winning margin belied her previous competition performances/ standings, so something must be untoward rather than the fact Amy had pulled out 3 superb runs out of 4. It smacks of gamesmanship on the one hand after the 1st 2 runs to unsettle her and Sour grapes on the other hand in that the Canadian competitor who was considered a strong favourite for the Gold medal could only finish 4th and out of the medals.
What do you think?

should have been upheld in my opinion. I'm sick and tired of brits **ing their way to victory all the time. sick of it.

Canadians are bottle jobs. They probably had 50 times as many runs down the track as other competitors and they still couldn't win a women's skeleton medal. They've got to find someone or something to blame other than themselves...

The first protest, by the USA, was supported by 5 other nations. So I think its more than sour grapes, she all of a sudden was a second faster than anyone after being generally a second slower.

International Bobsleigh and Tobogganing Federation (FIBT) jury president Wolfgang Strauss said the helmet's manufacturer confirmed the ridges, or spoilers, "are an integral part of the helmet".

^^ I'm not surprised they lodged a protest as that was the answer from the 1st protest

bit ridiculous have to have control steels on the sleds to make it all equal but can get advantages elsewhere.

My helmet's been streamlined for years and I've never had any complaints.
