Jon Montgomery has seen his price tumble into 2.0/odds on for Betfair
I'll tell you why, he's been practising on this track prior to the games and in practise set the fastest time on all of the sessions.
You can still get 2.38 at SJ.....although prepare to be limited on how much you want to get on

think you might have missed the real prices jacob

The Latvian is on the slide
Report jacob_TA February 18, 2010 5:06 PM GMT
of course I did, but 2.38 it still good when he's 2.0 here
I think he'll win gold, he's been too dominant in training to not

what do you make his true price jacob?

so he did really well and still lost out by .11 of a second. Not sure how that can be a good thing. Not the smallest of margins 0.11 of a second

I'm not saying evens is a good price on the candian, but when you could get 2.38 earlier when I posted, it was the point I was making. Sorry about that
I think he wins, he knows the track better than the rest and has shown his speed. I would think after the 2 runs today he'll be odds on. We know that in luge/skeleton/bob that you don't often get a huge turnaround unless someone makes a big mistake
Report ihatehwb February 18, 2010 5:29 PM GMT
well that's what i'm asking. I don't know what his price should be. Are you suggesting an arb?
Report tinkyvinky February 18, 2010 5:34 PM GMT
0.11 eehm is not quite much .as far as I know skeleton is much different form bobsleigh and luge.

I'd say there are two contenders for gold. Jon and Martin. Germans are moaning not performing since the middle of the season.

I am not saying anything but these training results have a massive impact on mugs mind and price has went down far to deep.

There was earlier, I believe SJ have cut him to 2.0 now. There might still be better available. I think he's a good back still at 2.0, as he will be 1.5 or so if he's got a lead after todays runs
I haven't got a lay up on here in case anyone thinks I'm ramping to get my bet in, just sharing my betting views. If his price gets pushed out to over 2.25 or so on here, I'll go in again

Pre games, I wouldn't have had him this short at all, but his training runs and the news I heard that he's been practising on this course for some time, make him a huge chance. He has won a couple of world silvers, so isn't just some home town mug

0.11 isn't a lot, and certainly the latvian is the danger, but the other runs were a lot faster.
I would actually love the Latvian to win from a non bettering perspective
Report jacob_TA February 18, 2010 5:39 PM GMT
what I meant, his 0.11 gap, was his slowest. He was a lot quicker on his other runs. So his slowest was still good enough to be fastest.
The training runs have been a good pointer so far in the sledding
