What a shambles we are as a country. honestly, we used to own a quarter of the globe and this is our first ever gold outside of poofskating. What a shambles. I'm seriously considering emmigrating to a proper country where they invest in talented sportsmen not just getting lucky on a tin tray sport. SEETHING. nice rant 10 out of 10 but dont go to australia they sent 2 sliders but but will be back surfing when they get back |

20s with the magic sign - racing post tipped her thanks mafeking. Kicking myself to have missed out. She obviously had top C&D form - wish I'd seen that story about her rapid practise times |

So will the British Sports council allocate more money to train the next generation of tea-tray racers???? The council house kids are getting to slide on the streets.
By:
wahoo!
Anyone who goes over the fact thjat Britain are rubbish at bthe winter olympics are being ridiculous. Okay Skeleton isnt the strongest event going but Britain doesnt have any serious mountains so it can't be expected that we are going to win much. |
By:
Rhona Martin still no.1 for me
By:
I reckon they will build a track somewhere in Scotland because of this.
By:
whereas we've always liked our tea, james.
A perfect sport for us. |
By:
Yeah cause people usually hurtle down tea trays at 90mph.
By:
what we gonna win next
curling womens team but they look like out of work nurses |
By:
The blonde with the bob looks cute
By:
this should have been Rudman's gold. I had 50s Shelley ew for SPOTY, believing she'd be our only gold medallist at these Games. Down the toilet now :(
By:
What are our other medal hopes? 4 scottish pikeys in the Curling and some posh plum in the skiing "hoping" for a top 12. FFS. What an embarrassment.
Did you see the brit girl in the snowboard half pipe? She'd literally never done it before by the look of it. Didn't even make 1 trick. FFS. I'm off. |
By:
definite win for gb in curling in an hour. maybe. 1.37
By:
top seething rusty - agree with you
By:
The woman in the halfpipe was 35 and the commentators admitted she crumbles in the face of presure. We are not an alpine nation. You can't expect people to win mountain events and ice events when there is no ice/snow./
By:
yes
let that be a lesson to you dont lay 1.10 when its 1.01 |
By:
I hate ice dance
By:
surely we have a host of celebritys from the last few years of im a celebrity strictly come dancing on ice who could win us all the golds on ice??
By:
Colleen Nolan couldn't make it, unfortuntely, wilsodubs
By:
uuuhhhh excuse me? no ice/snow?
Global Warming has ensured we've had the worst snow ever this year. There are also aeroplanes that can take people from one country to another so if you go to switzerland you might find a mountain to practice on. "oh but i don't want to be away from my family for 6 months a year" - Roy Castle would be seething. |
By:
seething in his grave.
By:
"Celebrity bob skeleton" - Anthea Turner's agent is on the phone as we speak.
