Looks like it might be a decent battle between Bright and Clark
I'm giving the edge to Clark, but not involved yet
Report Green Board February 18, 2010 9:25 PM GMT
Castellet isn't one of the big names but looks good value from her runs so far. Would be nice to see a European win too!
Report TeosRG February 18, 2010 9:25 PM GMT
When's this on?
Report rustyboy February 18, 2010 9:34 PM GMT
Clarke is every bit as dominant as shaun white is in the womens game.

It's said she might even go for a double corkie too. No woman has ever landed one in competition. If she lands it top 3 is a given and gold is all but assured.

Report rustyboy February 18, 2010 9:46 PM GMT
Jeff Capes'esque thighs there. What a pair of whoppers!
Report elise February 18, 2010 9:50 PM GMT
bet it's more than a half pipe too
Report Splinun1 February 18, 2010 9:52 PM GMT
When is the final on? Is it 3:30? Same as last night?
Report jacob_TA February 18, 2010 9:53 PM GMT
final starts 18.00 local time
Report Green Board February 18, 2010 10:43 PM GMT
2.00 am I believe. Torah Bright has to be in with a good shout too - the womens should be much closer than the mens
Report nairda February 18, 2010 10:52 PM GMT
S/F start 12 london time, and Final start 2am
Report jamesbeckton. February 18, 2010 11:38 PM GMT
it looks a bit poor compared to the mens.
Report Don No1 February 18, 2010 11:43 PM GMT
:^0 at the Brit, worst run ever?
Report Don No1 February 18, 2010 11:44 PM GMT
:^0 Sorry, 2nd worst run ever, her 2nd one was worse
Report rustyboy February 18, 2010 11:46 PM GMT
she's** poor.

I genuinely think i could do better. She's got no strength, no height, no speed.

Shocking. Why do the brits even bother. Lets just see the best do it properly.

What are we good at? Tin tray sledging and ice bowls. Great.
Report Sir Denis Eton-Hogg February 18, 2010 11:46 PM GMT
and she's the coach!
Report jamesbeckton. February 18, 2010 11:48 PM GMT
Think she just gets nervous on the big stage and bottles it. Amazing that 12,000 people want to see skeleton live.
Report Don No1 February 18, 2010 11:48 PM GMT
I can't believe how poor that was, she under-rotated by over half a turn, no chance of landing that trick, then she just did a couple of jumps, lmao
Report jamesbeckton. February 18, 2010 11:49 PM GMT
Surely if GB are good at Skeleton they would be good at luge.
Report jamesbeckton. February 18, 2010 11:50 PM GMT
Please bottle it.
Report nairda February 18, 2010 11:50 PM GMT
Skeleton is very new event...maybe that why GB good at it
Report rustyboy February 18, 2010 11:57 PM GMT
we;re good at it because it involves no real athletic natural ability etc it just comes down to how much money you spend on aerodynamics.
Report rustyboy February 18, 2010 11:58 PM GMT
given she's shacked up with the world expert in skeleton aerodynamics (Kristan Bromley has a PhD in sports equipment engineering or something similar)

Or maybe not
Report Don No1 February 19, 2010 1:24 AM GMT
Nobody fancies putting in a safe 40 bar Teter
Report Claret85 February 19, 2010 1:27 AM GMT
I suppose it makes it more exciting.
Report Green Board February 19, 2010 1:29 AM GMT
Not that easy to do a safe 40 though. Could get a surprise in a medal if one of the big names falsl again. Sahem the Spainish girl had the training accident
Report Don No1 February 19, 2010 1:31 AM GMT
True, but you'd expect at least a couple over 40 after the 1st run
Report Don No1 February 19, 2010 1:37 AM GMT
Good run, 45 could do it
Report Don No1 February 19, 2010 1:39 AM GMT
Had some great air there off the crippler

Report nairda February 19, 2010 2:07 AM GMT

Report Don No1 February 19, 2010 2:08 AM GMT
Poor competition, the pom failing in the qualifying was the most entertaining bit :D
Report nairda February 19, 2010 2:14 AM GMT
