made a complaint on 29th august about mismanagement of usa inplay races and got this response
The Saratoga market was confirmed to have been suspended early.

Our team have confirmed that whilst there were issues on the USA markets, they are aware of this and have advised that this issues should not happen again as this was due to internal technical failures.

dont think they have kept there end of the bargain sadly........

Their excuse is simply bobbins. These are issues that have happened ever since they started putting US in-play. Problems seem to be getting more regular though.

Tonight's shocker is getting Remington off-times wrong by an hour.

Zia R8 put inplay 10 mins too early, then suspended.
Penn R1 not put inplay at all.
Zia R9 didn't see exactly what happened, but looks like wasn't inplay for the full race?

Zia R9 was merely suspended about 3 seconds before the line.

The rest is just absolutely abject. I don't know how they manage to get worse each day, but they do.

Neither of the first two races at Penn are even yet suspended. But there was next to nothing wrong for the last race at Zia. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Oh. And they were quick to settle the sportsbook markets.

Not sure about that question. Whenever I've tried recently to find void bets, Betfair seem to just eradicate them entirely so I can't check stuff myself.

Yea I have  voided lays that were put on pre off,on the runner up, suppose yuou just have to trust they have settled correctly.
That race caught me out, I watched it from before turn but it wasn't trading properly so Market was all over place.

Anyway we move on.

I had lay bets matched at 11.29pm, before the off as verified start time was 23:29:59, one bet was paid out as a winning lay but the other was voided? All lay bets showed as matched at the time the race started, how can this be acceptable? I'm currently waiting to see if the remaining £49 winnings will be paid as the market is under review 2 hours after the race? I've been using the exchange for 12 years and never thought it possible that a winning matched bet can just be voided?

Looks like they just cancel everything after advertised or actual off time?
Everything before that stands, tbh I complicated with having some late bets,was still betting mins after it finished, lol, and not even on winner.
I backed pre off and had ir lays that were matched but I lose, and as I was trying to back runner up at a big price in the run I feel like I have lost twice.

Voided bets can be viewed in the 'Exchange Betting History' tab. Select 'Voided - closed markets' from the relevant drop-down menu. For markets that were never put into play Betfair should settle all trades made before the actual off time and void any trade made afterwards. Where they get the actual off-time from and how accurate that is I don't know.

Bottom line is if they don't put it in play your fckd.

Waiting an hour for them to suspend the race they didn't put in play is very poor, if I make a mistake I take it on the chin, if bf make a mistake I also take it on the chin.

My chin is sore, but overall they do a good job, the machine has been kind of late and ain't really complaining, but an hour to notice is a bit much imvho.

If they are under the 'voided' drop-down then they were matched and later voided. If they are never matched they appear under the 'lapsed' drop-down.

They managed to suspended a harness race from NZ at 1.40am so God knows what they are doing. Shambles.

Last few days it seems to be the norm, rather than exception, that races are put in-play way after the start. Race at Golden Gates there put in play as they went over the line.

Clearly they've completely stopped putting the markets in-play!

Another day where they're not bothering with the markets then.

Happened for a half hour stretch last night (Belmont Stakes night)
and now we've had, tonight, the last 5 races not put into play.
