In this day and age, especially where money is placed on the internet and actual cash doesn't change hands, the biggest rip-off is the breakage. They calculate the dividend, and anything from $2.40 to $2.59 pays out at $2.40. All those 19cents add up to chunks. There is no excuse for not declaring the dividends to the penny.
