The race caller at Tampa, Richard Grunder, is to retire after 37 continuous years calling the races at Tampa Bay. Last call will be at the end of this season on May 2nd.

It was only a matter of time. I thought some of his commentaries last year were appalling, littered with 'check the call', and calling the winners too early(and wrongly). Ironically I think he's upped his game this year but I guess the seed was set by the powers that be.

Fair play, he had a good season and did it all off the bins it seems , so respect to him and a happy retirement.
