I've traded over 500 US races that have featured an Inquiry or Objection involving the top 4.

I've seen horses completely cut up likely winners left unchanged and I've seen the slightest brushing down the back straight DQ'd.

My conclusion is that it is a complete lottery and once that Inquiry sign goes up you need to prepare for a 1 in 3 chance (33.9%) of a DQ.

Another interesting decision from the stewards room in the 7th at Delaware on Monday 29th June.

The winner was objected against twice after swerving and bumping all over the place leaving a trail of stricken horses in it's wake. The 2nd was also objected against in a separate incident. Stewards dismissed all the objections but DQ'd the 3rd placed horse (who wasn't even objected against) for mildly drifting in the stretch.

DQs are a pure lottery in the US.

Parx R4 today. Further proof that you just can't tell which way these objections and enquiries will swing. It's a roll of the dice!
