I'm a little worried that there's a lack of pace in this field which won't suit this closer, but if 6 and 4 can set reasonable early fractions, then this class dropper should take them on the stretch. I'm also a bit suspicious about the class drop and trainer Dale Bennett's poor record moving horses from turf to dirt, but all things considered, this should be the class of the field.

Layed 8 at 5.5. Think this has had its chances and failed to impress. Don't see any signs that it improves today. Could be wrong of course.

Very naive ride on the 3 going for the early lead. Only logic I can see in doing that was to stop the 4 going wire to wire, but it killed itself in the process.

Also layed 7 at 6.0. The market seems to think this is dangerous because of its class drop, but I see the class drop as a big negative.

Also layed 3 at 12.5. Don't think the slow pace will give this much of a chance.
