AQU R1

4 at 5.0. Finished a disappointing 7th / 11 last time out in a sprint at the meet, but think the jockey made a mistake saving ground and was too far off the pace to bother launching a late bid for a place. Stretching out to 1m, this may well be the best horse over the distance. Think it could do with a faster pace to chase, but all things considered, 5.0 seems pretty fair.

lol! Yes, mate, still on track. :D Made a small profit from the first race. Sorry for disappearing on Fri night without saying anything. Got a phonecall and was chatting for an hour. Glad to see you this evening. Good luck!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM

I might have to revise our projections. If we can achieve the £1m sooner, like by the summer for instance, we can adjust things.

that's ok, i fell asleep on my sofa, after a couple at delta/ penn, woke up at about 3 and crawled into bed Laugh

yes, and was a bit disappointed as it was going quite well, so would have preferred to stay awake for more but was evidently exhausted. of course once i've made the £1m i can give up the day job and then that won't happen, lol

I would have like to continue too if I hadn't been distracted because Delta is a goldmine. Did you see my bets in TAM R1?

yes, wd on the 5, 1st time starter, interesting

Yep. That horse was bought for $140,000 in an auction and trainer Arnaud Delacour has done quite well with his newcommers.

AQU R2 Thoughts

I find 6 interesting at 10.0+. Negative barn change and you've got to wonder why it was bought for $14,000 and then put straight back up for sale at the same price, but if it wasn't for those two factors, you could almost argue this should favourite.

Haven't bet yet.

you are very thorough, it's impressive. if the £1m falls through, just apply to sky to present on ATR - they could do with improvng their stateside offering

Backed 3 at 4.3. Fancy this to stalk the 7 and 2 before striking on the stretch.

As well as backing the 3, I've also decided to lay the 7 at 5.5 like you. Big step up in class moving from Philadelphia to New York. Only danger is that it wires the field, but let's hope 2 duels with it.

you were right on the racing style but the 1 was better, funnily enough i would probably have backed the 1 but no regrets, i prefer to lay

I'm always pleased when I assess the pace setup correctly. Maybe I underestimated the significance of the class drop of the 1, but I just wasn't impressed with its higher grade efforts.

laid the 1 tam, not got a great deal of reasoning for this but doesn't look great and the inside is not favoured here.
By:

When: 17 Jan 16 17:56
yes, i suppose when i think about it the class of race is what i give the most weighting to. and after a few glasses of wine maybe the only weighting factor Crazy

I didn't know what to make of the 1. The way it closed in recent sprints, it looked like it might improve stepping up in class, but then every route in ran is has been very disappointing apart from today perhaps, although it still didn't win. Glad your lay came in.

Now going to try and but some food and beers in time for the next races. BRB

can't really see past the 6 at aq but equally it's not really worth laying the others, in case there's an upset

3 comfortably beat. Good call. Disappointed with Gulfstream Park shipper #1 and newcommer 4, but 10.0+ was a fair deal IMO.

oh crap, that's major, i thought you were just larking about but you really lost it, if that happened to me i'd be seriously distracted from this racing business. but you kept a clear head and carried on picking winners, a sign of a true proGrin

4 at 30.0+. Crazy price IMO. An Englehart newcommer in a mediocre field should never be this price in my book.

thought you had your butler looking for it and sooner or later he'd come up with the goods - and then you'd have to fire him for losing it in the first placeGrin

laying the 3 at aq, short price in a maiden, lots of 1st time starters, hope it gets beat, gl
