ok, lay wise would have gone for the 1 at the prices now but scaramouche is a danger at aq at the moment, so just pondering for a minute, might lay the 3 otherwise

Tough luck Rowan. The recent work for that 11 was superb, and the odds were juicy. It was probably that bobbly start for the 11 - it jumped off in the wrong direction! - that cost you the win. I very nearly grabbed it to place at 7.0+, but was put off by the 2% jock. So I'm just as gutted as you!!!

I nailed a big one at 17.0 or something, but later at AQU, I backed a 37/1 newcommer that finished really strongly but got beat half a length by the favourite.

I do love the strong closing power of the 9, but in this pace setup, it has to be the 5. If 4 hadn't been scratched, I might have taken the 9 at 6.6, as 4 could duel with the 5.
