7 to win at 2.2. Ness does well at Tampa with class droppers.

Glad you turned up anyway! Was disappointed not to see you at first. lol. Great thanks. Got off to a winning start in my first race at least (I'm a bit late tonight too). Good luck. Let's have a clean sheet!

Thoughts Aqu Race 4

7 is worthy favourite with its pace advantage. Could go wire to wire, but it doesn't have enough about it to make it a 2.2 shot in my eyes.

3 cuts its claiming price in half today and is potentially the class of the field and could be a strong closer, but could do with something duelling with the 7.

I'd possibly lay the 1 too, but I'm worried that it'll rekindle its backform, second time out since a positive move back to the Mark Tasso barn. Also, second time back off a short layoff.

1 was disappointing at a slightly higher grade last time out as a 42.0 shot, but I'm guessing it must have been a competitive race given its big price at the off.

Very rare I say this, but no bet for me. Think the market has this one about right.

i do that a lot, no problem with skipping a race or two, unlike you though Grin

ok tampa, laying 1 but only because it's so short and i think the race is more competitive than that indicates

I guessed you meant the 2. Well done. I was confident, with the 2's recent workout, it would run well on dirt. Surprised.

I trusted Kathleen De Massi to have it fit for the race as well.

you look at angles i don't but in the long run that will make you richer, if you keep the discpline

Thanks mate. I feel positive tonight. That race cancelled out my winnings from the first race. I'm level now (marginally up actually). But as you say, it's a long-term battle, so best not to fixate too much on the night's p/l.

As you said before, skipping a few races is okay and something I should probably do more often! haha.

it' a marathon not a sprint and in year from now we'll be millionaires - assuming you aren't already Grin

AQU Race 5 Thoughts

5 is a worthy favourite. The barn change will have a fairly neutral effect IMO. At 3.0, I think I'll pass though.

2 looks like it has a bit of closing power and I think this is probably a race won by something from off the pace. Perhaps 1 will take a small lead before being engulfed by the chasing pack.

I don't see any value yet.

When: 15 Jan 16 19:15
hahaha, indeed. That is the target!! I'm not quite there yet, but it's inevitable right?

Okay, the value for me looks like 5 to finish top 3 at 1.3+.

don't have an edge on aq r5 either but laid the 5 because of that - sometimes i just lay the shortest when i don't see much in it. the £1m is surely only ever about 12 months away Grin. stick in £200 and 20% growth a week

4 at 1.63. Funny one this. I am very suspicious about the class drop and very doubtful of the fitness of this horse, but the rest of the field is very weak and paceless and I'm prepared to take 1.63, but small bet.

Good plan Risky. We'll continually review the target throughout the year. Christmas 2016 might well be the best of my life so far.

5-2-3. I could have layed the 5 at 3.0 myself to be fair. I decided it was about the right price.

Also, I don't like New York shippers at Tampa, but I'm chancing the 4 at 1.6 anyway.

3 at 5.7. Thought this would be favourite.
