christ it's annoying, just then it settles but too late to use the bank usefully on  the next one, grrr

i know i'm more disciplined than this usually but spunked the bank a few weeks back, so back to square 1 at mo, and it is so annoying..

live feeds isn't the issue but tonight the selling of bets is the worst i can remember. and i'm not sure what's distracting them

it's all about value ... imho

3 horse/chance race on the dirt ... $2.38   $2.98   $9.00

if all have hopes its a no brainer which one to look at

dirt is a special surface (like running on sand) ... if you don't take to it early race over

and this can happen to the shorties just as easily as the longer priced horses

trouble is you wont know till they've gone a furlong lol

ive heard many people say the US racing is iffy as so many shorties get beat ... but it aint necessarily mischief rather than how the surface plays with a horse once they dig their hooves in ... (turf - and sloppy tracks - are another kettle of fish of course lol)

so a lot of the time its a waiting game .. get your price .. and hope that your horse sticks when they dig in the dirt early

all the best .. punters ... a hardy breed

(traders of course don't care .. they just want a playable market ... and it frustrates them when punters wont play in every race .. and the then the seeders shut them out late ... all another story lol Grin)

CT #7 short enough won almost 50% of its races ... watch I guess

#2 either the lady has troubles with this one or it aint much good ... but if it steps today could be in the hunt for a long way

who knows lol .. all the best
By:

When: 19 Sep 15 23:45
well the shortie got done lol

and looked like she was having a go on the #2 ... led ... gone point of turn .. fought on

if she gives it some work in between races now looks like they are primied for a good run

LAD 7  a Stakes race $75k

most of them are coming out of $12 claimers lol .. might a surprise upset in there among them

the #10 is an on pacer at odds but crikey ..

the #3 is the shortie .. odds on in the US tote but seeders here playing around at $3 ... is the one who has stakes form in its career .. ridden by G Mora who was in the awful fall yesterday I think (was replaced in later races that day)

another watch ... $75k and they couldn't attract those type of horse ... interesting

but seeders here playing around at $3 ...

What does this mean Confused??

Are they HFT it to keep/maintain 3.00 or are they laying it Love

Will help me understand "seeders"

they are doing both Henry

they want to sell it at 2.98 ... and buy it back at 3.00 ....

IMO

they are the 'seeders' only because it is mainly all their money in the pool lol

they may be a collective .. they may be your firm ... they be an individual

if you have info or can source it let us know

bottom line is you can watch their bots ... they go out with a price .. get a taker .. go out further & get jumped on the ease .. and buy it back for a profit

what they do is not rocket science .. and it is not gambling as such

give me a form guide any day lol Grin    (and about 10/1 on a 6/1 shot Wink)

LAD 8 another interesting race after both the #1's were scratched

looks to me like #7 #5 and the last start winner #2 in the mix

#2 has had a work since the win .. the #5 is a second up shipper ... and the #7 placed its last three but not finding enough on the line maybe today lol

the early tote odds USA  #2 9/5, #5 9/5, #7 5/1

how the 'seeders' will play this out around the 2- 5 min mark will be interesting (all a bit short for me though but who knows)

the shipper cleaned them up and backed off the map late

I assume this is different to those that engage in HFT with phantom bets where price eases on the back of no actual bets.....

Also assume seeders dont always win each race as after they "green up" liquidity may not be there....
By:
Thebas
When: 20 Sep 15 00:53
good points

well they ARE the liquidity .. so what they do is pretty much all theirs

they might be offloading into the US tote pools also .. who knows

I love the dirt racing though .. have you ever tried running on the beach in sand

takes a tough horse which is why they all look so fit and powerful .. they have to be lol

the last half furlong things can also change a lot depending on work done early

backmarkers do win .. on pacers have the best positioning .. small fields make for interesting racing

but punting though .. its all about the odds .. in the LONG RUN

all the best guys i'll look at them again late in the Charles Town race 9 & 10 ..

my man Jerry Villegas isn't in those Love   but we'll see

CT4  ... the #4 has the stakes races background .. won its last start by 5 len .. has the money jock Jose on board again

the router back to 7f runs em ragged ... with the #6 a late dash right on the line to just miss ... #4 not in the hunt from the halfway
