the next at PEN5 an interesting 10k claimer .. with chances and some value maybe
#1 hung on gamely last start to win over the mile .. the splits weren't overly exciting might be harder pressed today who knows #2 doing well in lower $ claimers but 2 back a good run in a 10k and the winner subsequently win franking the form maybe #3 first up long layoff ... won 1up last prep and has worked the house down .. maybe overcooked on the work who knows #4 getting prizemoney in lower grade claimers is best I can say #5 changed stables again for the third time in 3 months .. sometimes they spark up sometimes they don't .. no work found recently #6 backing up quickly after its first up win this dist .. likes the dist #7 month letup after a handy return to racing .. in the mix you'd reckon #8 failing in easier than this #9 another with a 4wk letup after a first up run .. well in it on its last wins tough race .. we'll see .. maybe the 2 for me treading lightly tho |

well that's how you like them to pan out - they don't always of course .. started officially at 5/2 but plenty of $5 here before the off Mr Otero was always gonna have the grey gelding up on the pace and eventually took over mid-race and probably headed by the #7 at the top of the lane ... but under vigourous riding he regained the lead a half out and it was nose to nose to wire with the #2 prevailing at the wire - a courageous win the #7 will take benfir from the run good effort as will the #9 after a short letup .. while the #3 was clearly overcooked in its leadup track work 5 days before the race and I see this quite a bit ... should you lay them .. up to you but they will get up & win occasionally so each to their own a bit of work on the race paid off .. have a great day guys .. see you next time |

not necessarily lol ... wow .. keen ice ran to it last start but the only race it had won before was its maiden
all bubbles must burst .. odds on look on .. history tells us this frosted was the one to servie it up to the champ .. but the sectionals were pretty pedestrian and unlikely to have been the cause such is racing .. such is life .. and its why we like to get some odds about a runner  |

yes agree .. if he hasn't taken harm from the run (and we wont know till the stables post mortem) .. then they might like to string a few consecutives to prove today wrong
they are horses .. and they all have issues somewhere ... keeping them afloat off course is often as big a battle as the races they undertake |
