sloppy track at PEN

we need the master of this scenario to drop in the Forum

he knows who he is

7 mins out to PEN 1

they've got the #4 fave in the USA

the #1 does well on these sloppy tracks also though

and is a huge class dropper if you can forgive the gelding for his shocker last start

a tough beginning event .. might set the pattern for the day

seeders offered between 3.00  to 3.30  during the 5min to 2min window of opportunity before the #1 was smashed into odds-on

money came yes ... but they still have to run lol .. no guarantees ever 

#6  cleans them up ... no guarantees ever lol

Best lay I have seen ages that 1 at PENN, however when it looks to good, it usually is. However on this race market go it well wrong,
never looked like winning. Deffo missed one there.

they don't on sloppy tracks at PEN alien .. we had a guy on here 3-4 weeks ago on a sloppy track and he was banging them in at 25/1 and 48/1

the traders like razor would have cleaned up

he could have bought at $3 and sold at evens .. great race for the traders

well the fave won the 2nd at PEN ..

but not for me ... the pattern has been set imo ...

I had an inkling towards the #7 in PEN 3 but it has not experienced the sloppy so who knows

i'll prob wait till LAD opens up and see the status there

where a horse is ... in its preparation  (ie  3rd up after 60days ... 2up after a 30day freshen etc) is as important as 'how' it races

LAD 4 coming up ... a 5f maiden on the turf

never seen so many runners with so many starts and failed to produce a win

no interest for me those types but you look into the race and you find a couple that are having their first start

and they are mature aged horses ... why do they bother you think ... surely they have shown them something to consider pushing on for a race start rather than heading to the breeding barn

#6 is a 5yo mare .. first ever race start
#5 is a 4yo filly (we call them mares in Oz) .. first ever race start

neither are in a winning type stable

just rambling .. better races to follow for sure

#6 and #7 of course ffs

9-1-5 in the maiden ... nothing to enthuse over of course

i'll have an each-way interest in the #2 Porter Central at Presque next up

the 6yo gelding's dam ... is by a fave old Oz stallion from the 80's ... who travelled to Europe at the time to place in the Arc - Strawberry Road

they freshened this one last start and jumped him up to a $40k ALW so better suited here you would think in a $5 claimer

it's all a gamble though

10-4-5    porter couldn't make any impression tight along the rail tho the #4 squeezed through there nicely to chase the wide winner

hi PlaceP .. yes an interesting booking with Gallardo ... they'd been spacing his runs and today was his first time back on the dirt with all turf runs this campaign ... will be interested to see if they move it back to the turf next start

I can't get involved in the next at PEN2 either .. the fave is another with the mare spacing her races and the work while ok is about the same as she's been doing before and not winning ... not that the others hold any of my attention either .. fave is back in class can win but a watch for me

There is a graph pattern commonly called the fat finger ...there are ways to program automation bots for this ..that race many had FF ...many low low odds taken on few in that race..you should/will find literature on it

henry I know you would care for the horse & jockey's welfare ... as I'm sure the good Captn does also once he is over the emotion of the bet loss .. he did state that he doesn't usually post gripes so this one just snuck thru to the keeper and is now over

and nothing wrong with caring for each other so yes we move on

I might have mentioned before henry that at a Canterbury Function back in the mid 80's me and my guest were seated at the same table as poor Ken ... top bloke

I looked at him (I'm just a blow in not an industry person) ... but he takes to me straight away and looks me in the eye and says

was a terrific night with a few other jocks (not Ken) getting up and telling some very funny stories

was a tragedy the day he died from the race fall .. and I cringe each & every time I see a horse fall on the track 

the emotion of the bet loss .

back with broberg again .. resuming .. up in grade and the work is different than leading into the last first up win at Evangeline where the 4f gallops had been some 2 secs faster and he gave it a final 5f belt out before the win in the best of the day .. compared to the final hitout for yours today

of course the prior 4 lead up works you had looked much better and maybe the final hitout a fortnight ago was just an exercise and odds getter

it can probably beat the rest of the first uppers imo with the fave a last start winner but coming from out wide and also back from turf to dirt

yours a good chance with its wins all around the 1.90 fave mark or something so if the stable fancy it I'd expect it to shorten today

I've seen your bet and if you get the odds you will have a nice chance to trade out for half and sit with the remainder

it's quick .. doesn't have to lead .. and you should get a good run for your money ... I have it in the market at 11/4 so good luck with your odds .. I would lay it about 2/1 but unlikely to see that
