I was very concerned that the 4 wouldn't produce that kind of performance first time back off the layoff, but was even more doubtful about the 1 performing at MNR, because it's quite a unique track, but given how well the 1 ran, I feel a tad lucky.

I agree with everything you've said, but the big problem with the 3 is that it's a Gulfstream Park shipper. It's typical for trainers to move horses from a high class meeting to MNR to get them sold. The workouts don't convince me of fitness although it's good to see a recent 5f workout.
I prefer the 4 at 11.0.
