I thought they said they were going to get some new courses in the last Q and A session. It is getting more and more frustrating watching Finger Lakes, Indiana,Hastings and now Arlington on ATR with no markets on here. Tonight just 3 meetings and nothing till 9.10. In a month or two they are going to be reliant on Zia ( if they have managed to hold on to that ) for two days per week at least until Mountaineer kicks in at midnight Sad
Whatever people say I am convinced liquidity is up on GB racing from 3 or 4 years ago. On the US it's fallen through the floor.

Parx used to have markets, I wonder why that stopped?
Finger lakes also I'm sure I've seen... we're left with presque isle downs, penn (thank god that's my fav) and as you say salmon mountaineer park after midnight.
Some of us have got to to work betfair, come on wake up for gawd sake.

We are in talks with tracks to join us and to WATCH THIS SPACE was the reply when i asked about US racing at the Q&A session a few months back.It sounded like positive news was coming but no word since so i presume no deal was done.

why don't betfair keep us abreast of things though really pisses me off cos in the winter when there is no gb racing on in the evening , this will be like a morgue usa racing

Sounded like they was fobbing You lot off in the Q&A session. They swept it under the carpet."there's nothing to see here People there's nothing to see".

Purple have almost no liquidity tbh,but they did manage to put up markets for Arlington's big meeting although supposedly only after somebody asked them to. Otherwise in my brief glances there they have the same tracks as Bf.
Some of Betfair's problems seem to stem from them buying one of the broadcasting companies, which seems to mean the other(s)won't give them access to theirs.
I can certainly confirm what jasrich said about them implying they were working on getting more courses. If they are they have nothing to show for it.

Equibase want to charge you all the time as they have the rights to the data but you can collect the data yourself.
Its not that difficult.

That's hardly the point. Not much point in watching the race if there are no markets on here.

The thing that makes me laugh is betfair sponsors 'Stateside' on ATR.
I've just watched a race from Indiana and for the life of me I cannot think of 1 reason why it's being screened?

I could be wrong but I think Betfair had Indiana when it was Indiana Downs rather than Grand.
But as you say it's daft. As it happens they have a reasonable amount of markets on Wed,but Thurs can be a problem and I have mainly given up on Mon and Tue.

Another reasonable evening on ATR yesterday. Parx,Finger Lakes and Suffolk Downs is not great but it's alright for a Monday. Only markets on Betfair though are from Suffolk and quarter-horse racing from Zia. A year ago they would have had markets and LV from FL and markets from Parx. No LV from Belmont on occasion and I gather the same is happening at Woodbine. Any effort to keep existing courses never mind give us new ones is not immediately apparent.

Suffolk Downs got the news 2night that the new Boston casino wont be at the track.Odds on to close down for good at end of this years meet.

Indiana and tracks like that create the most liquidity on here.

No markets for the meeting at Belmont tonight.

I see ATR have added Churchill Downs to their portfolio. That means 5 current meetings are on Stateside ( sponsored by Betfair ) on which there are no markets on here. They have lost Parx,Finger Lakes and Indiana relatively recently, but we were told to expect NEW markets.
What are they playing at       Confused

I would rather like to bet at Louisiana but the LV is "currently unavailable". In the meantime ATR ( sponsored by Betfair ) is happily showing Churchill Downs       Crazy
How much does their CEO get paid ?

Suffolk is indeed closing down on Sept 29th.
Tonight they provide the only thoroughbred racing until Zia switches from quarter horses at 9.07 PM ( our time ).
By 6th and indeed 7th of next month they will,on current evidence, only be offering Zia,which presumably will continue with quarter horse racing as part of their programme, until Mountaineer starts at midnight.
So much for expanding the number of markets available       Mischief

Well we are down to Zia tonight unless you want to hang on for Mountaineer at midnight. The first part of the Zia card features enthralling quarter horse racing.

I emailedbetfair about the new tracks and lack of coverage of parx

this was betfairs response no mention from them about the new tracks

Our US offering is based on historical trading performance of each track and on some occasions is restricted for contractual reasons. We offer a competitive US product that offers our customers the opportunity to bet in liquid markets (close to the race). unfortunately because of this we are not able to cover all US horse racing.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with. Or maybe our FAQs will come in handy?

We love to tweet too; find us @BetfairHelpdesk.

Yes it is odd.  There is a form avsilable for TUP on 10/4 but when I opened it only two quarterhorse stake races are listed.

Either way it is not listed on the svhedule here through the end of October.

I did notice that Hawthorne and Keeneland meetings start soon and are on the schedule here.

Equibase have one meeting listed at Turf on 4th but nothing then till the 18th when it starts properly. May well be a one-off quarter-horse meeting.

I think they have to race by a cerrtain date in order to be eligible for a futurity later in the year but I may be mistaken.
Meadowlands is listed for tomorrow which is nice to see.

Yes I've just noticed Meadowlands. ATR have had chariot racing from there but I don't remember Bf having markets on the proper racing before. I only go back about 5 years though.

Accept it has been on here before. I honestly don't remember it in my time which is not as long as some. Trouble is it is Fri and Sat where tbh they still have plenty of markets. Finger Lakes and Indiana have been very bad losses because of when they race.

no Meadowlands despite it being on the schedule?
Parx has reappeared on the schedule.
Have to wait and see whether they actually post markets or not.

There were markets for Meadowlands at some point during the day. They had disappeared in the evening. I thought perhaps the meeting was off but it wasn't.
