Furniture business keeping him otherwise engaged these days, occasionally see him post on the HR forum, but haven't seen one of his special threads for a long time.

Why are the forums so quiet - is it because of the new site?

Most lost their banks or the appetite for scrapping it out and probably returned to salaried employment would be my guess

I haven't a clue.  Many of betfairs competitors are a lot more sharper nowadays - offering best odds and special offers all the time - they also credit many accounts with free bets (rewarding people for loyalty - I often get £50 free bets from paddypower - in all the years I have been on here I have NEVER had a free bet)  I joined "bet d a q" emailed them and told them I had never had a free bet on here and even they gave me a £10 bet - I was gobsmacked!!!!

Still would expect part-timers, new members and the veterans to keep the place going but is so different, barely any threads actually talk about a match in the footy forum, all rubbish gossip and attention-mongers - they were always there but there were plenty of match threads too, barely anything now. Maybe will pick up when the football season starts, the Horse racing forum is still pretty good.

Right - {emailing betq as we speak} Laugh

Fair points, still a shame, used to love the banter and quite a few people knew what they were talking about so were worth listening to.

I note pmbets still hasn't been on to explain why the 1/5 good thing his "folks" emailed him about ended up getting stuffed, maybe he is still in Utah looking for the answer...!

On speed figures there is nothing in the 1st at MNR to touch the fav.  Should win comfortably

Cork - will the dirt be a minus to this fav at MNR?
By:
Cork Langer
When: 28 Jul 14 23:54
I would say yes but the rest are awful so it will probably get away with it unless one of the newcomers is any good
By:
Kriskin
When: 28 Jul 14 23:55
That's how I see it.  The others have shown nothing.  Even the newcomers work outs are very ordinary.

MP R2 might be a foolish play as both horses are better than the rest, but neither really perform over 7f on dirt, so laid 6 & 8, small back of the 4, gl all
