this is a pivotal lay for me, will have to rein the stakes right back in if it wins but hopefully not...

They've just forgotten to suspend the last at Aqueduct. Are they doing too many meetings for the monkey ?
Having said that I wish people who are presumably following it on one feed or another could abstain from betting in those circumstances. It just means they take longer to settle it and the SP is NOT affected you morons.

Surely picking losers is easier and can be just as rewarding.

in a way i agree but eventually an outsider will hit you and then the discipline is hard to maintain

Served my apprenticeship, but like everyone do go on tilt occasionally, and it can be costly.
My favs are Southwell and Aqueduct and Penn

and eventually that will put you off laying the bigger prices gradually more and more until you are like me and people laugh at you for always laying favourites 
I will tell you now that i cannot remember the last time a Morning line 50/1 won @ Aqueduct.

when I lay i never like to lay more than 3.5, 4.5 at the very most so I see your logic Riaky.

Have a £500 hit at least once a month usually (sometimes more), but now know how to deal with it.
Will always have hits but trying to reduce the damage.
About 120 bets a week @ £3 a go, so this helps to stabilise the ship.

They have finally settled the last at Aqueduct. I lay long but as it happens most of my stake wasn't matched. I placed it comfortably before the off and I THINK it was matched before the off as well. Betfair are saying that most of it was matched in running. Which means that some chancer who backed my lay at about 100s has got away with it. I have only been robbed of a couple of quid so I can't be bothered to take it further but I bet if it had won ( and it was prominent early ) the person who tried it on ( if Bf are correct) would be screaming they had been done out of £200.
Well done me! Blimey it's quiet on here these days...
