#2 interesting for me up in distance back to the mile, Barn had a nice winner in race 1 and is the least exposed of these lot, 5/2+ seems fair enough. GL

No just a blind man can see these faves in America being laid for chunks, and lo and behold they run a stinker or the jockey finds trouble or he blows the start.Dont take a rocket scientist to work out whats going on there does it.

I wasn't having a go at Tod just was surprised he seemed a bit shocked by it
Must be a right pain in the aarse when you read the form well like he does and quite a few races are a bit bent.

We all know that it happens, the problem is too many people on here think it happens in almost every race from the amount of posts on bad/crooked rides on the Horse Racing Forum and in my view that just isn't the case. I would agree in a lot of the lower class racing that a lot of "ill judged" rides occur but as I have posted on numerous occasions it is not compulsory to play the poor racing, so why do people...? Lack of discipline and respect for their money can be the only reasons. Same as it has always been, play selectively and if you are any kind of judge you will make it pay.

sometimes you can read too much into market movements, better to look at the form and judge what is value to you. make a decision and stick with it Oh and be patient

I'm sure most of you play the UK market, given its Goodwood for the next five days, just monitor how many posts there are about bent rides etc there, over the next few days. People are quick to accuse others of wrong doing rather than admit that they themselves have made a bad choice, which is ridiculous because we all pick stinkers occasionally, only a few of us have the good grace to admit it when we get it wrong though.

Leave it out Tobahar ,you are the biggest guesser on here and everybody knows it.
If some of you guys think all racing is straight then God help you is all I can say.

Anyone with any common sense, knows that all racing is not straight, the grey area is agreeing on how much is actually worked out before the off, and in my view that is clouded by peoples failure to accept that they made bad calls in some cases and that it wasn't down to the race already being sorted out.

Cork Langer -You are correct and it does not happen as much as ppl think. Some of you seem to assume im a conspiary nutjob because I brought up the topic tonight. It certainly will not happen in the big races and guys will accuse all sorts cos they done their dough. The point I made is that it happens on a regular basis in American racing and I don't understand why people get hot under the collar when that fact is mentioned.

i find the american racing runs more to form than british/irish. perhaps thats down to the fact that the racecourses are all flat and have a decent straight after the bend. no horrible cambers and getting trapped like we will see at goodwood all week. it does irk me when i'm on a jockey that takes a horse wide instead of coming up the inside which is where most races are won, but you have to take it on the chin when gambling.

anyway fancy the 2 in the next at mountaineer, would be favorite without the long absence and i'm happy to have a tenner on at 13.5/1. layed the 5 for a few quid too.

Irish - I for one didn't take offence at your post, a valid point as far as I'm concerned, I've been playing the US racing for longer than I care to remember and there hasn't been a day yet where I haven't seen a pre-conceived result play out in front of me, its part and parcel of the game and whilst on occasion I've lost because of it, on many occasions I have gained.
