I don't pay all that much attention but I can't recall seeing a US horse shorter than this before.

aftertiming but I was gonna back the #2 DD to place but spent too much time trying to get a good price against the #9 CT, it held on for third.

I have and was too late laying it, price was 1.25 or something, was at Parx, place lay was 1.04 was gonna lay the place finished nowhere near the places.

Charles Town is different than most tracks in US racing when it comes to short ones.  Not too many get beat.  The stats are out there

Other tracks u can make money laying short ones but for some reason at Charles you would be losing a small fortune

Speaking of shorties theyre hammering this one at Penn

I would be amazed if many make the game pay betting 1.32 shots over 4 furlongs on a bullring persoanlly

I looked at a night's results there last week and there were 2 shots shorter than 1.7 beat in one meeting

Backed the jolly at Penn as I liked the betting pattern lol.

lucky - Keep a record going forward and u will see over a 6 month period.  4 furlongs seems to be the ones that don't get beat too often.  More beat over 6 & 7.

yeah, don;t believe that about ct for 1 min, plenty of shorties get beat, but it's about whether it should be that short or not and how much you stake

Fingers is a track were the odds on shots get beat more often than they win

Every race I trade at Fingers seems to have an odds-on shot.

I find the stats for all the tracks similar ,  yes of coursr that horse should have been fav , I;d have been a backer at 1.6 . Knowing the right price is the key

Risky - I'v been betting at Charles for over 8 years. It wasn't even on here when I first got involved.  Had to bet with the bookies. As I stated the stats don't lie at this track

I'll talk out of my wallet here but backed a losing odds on shot in a half mile race recently

NMR - u missing my point.  NOT all favs will win at Charles.  A higher % win here than compared to fingers

laid 5 at dd. kriskin, you've spotted something in the prices at ct, i don't doubt you but it won't be as simple as any odds on shot will win, because our own money contributes to it and pushes the prices up and down
