probably worth watching the replay on that one, but looked to me like he was easing the effort down around the turn

I just watched the replay on the track feed. I'll happily lay odds he had a lot more horse underneath him than the finishing position. Pushed the horse into the pace on the bend and then eased up. Not saying it would have won today, but a great workout for a future engagement. Bet it's not a few months until it's next reappearance.

I can see it being hard going tonight. A lot of late start meetings - like weeds strangling each other's liquidity.
On the positive side, Zia Park starts at the weekend. Betfair replied to my email today suggesting it will be covered Sun/Mon/Tues. I wonder if Craig Braddick is doing the race calling. He has pals who come on here so maybe someone will know. |
