Super Mario has ridden 46 winners at this meet but some shockers in almost 200 other rides. Race 1 wasn't one of them but too many times when he rides for Graham Motion or Jonathan Shepherd he sits well off the speed no matter what the likely fractions are going to be.

race 2 at Presque Isle is as a weak a maiden special weight as has been run at the track all meet.
Most of the fancied runners come out of race where a 100/1 shot with no form finished 2nd. Maybe it's the right race but it's not a bad idea to look at the new faces. Newcomer No5 (who is a tad overbet) and Ellis Park shipper No9. His 9th beaten 6 lengths looks fair form in the context of this rubbish race |

Presque Isle race 3 is a tough race with probably five contenders.
Of the horses with local form I like No2 & No7. That said, I am going to return to the Steph Beattie & Tommy Town Thoroughbreds (a combo who did me a good turn last night) for a small wager. No3 ran some good races in New Mexico & may be a match for the loacals. At around 7.00, she gets my money. |
