Hi peeps. When reading a timeform racecard i see some jockeys have a number in brackets next to their name. Is this extra weight to be added to the overall weight of the horse or is this already accounted for in the overall weight figure?

lucky - was about to post before race that laying Seahag was a bit risky. She has loads of early pace which was very evident tonite again.
I wasnt ecpecting the hag to get an easy lead tbh looked to be lots of pace , how wrong I WAS
MP R2 think 6 might soften 10 up, gone with 7 w/p, gl all

MP R3 not reading this turf course at all well, dutch of 8 & 3, gl all
MP R4 both studio "experts" pick the 8 which is good enough reason to lay it, backed the rags 1/2/6/7/10, gl all
